As Difference Makers, as Leaders, as Pastors, as Christians, if we are going to fulfill the Mission and Vision of NEC, we must live a life that supports the teachings of the Bible. The key to that is, we must know what the bible says, and we need to model to others that we do what it says.

The Bible is the single most significant book ever written. This most important book is the eyewitness account of historical events of such enormous magnitude that these events have shaped our world in which we live. I don’t believe it would be too much to say that the events chronicled in the Bible have been declared by a substantial percentage of people who’ve lived on this earth to be the most significant events ever documented.

Let me say that the Bible is the foundation of just about everything humanity will ever know, face or achieve. It has directly led to vast undertakings of good will and charity. Because of this amazing book, life-giving, life-changing projects were undertaken that changed our world. It was once said; “It would be impossible to claim to be an educated person without having some familiarity with the events contained in the Bible.”

Let me end part one with this, for us to be effective Leaders, the Bible must be our constant companion. The truth is, all of us are going to make mistakes as leaders at the most inopportune times, but the knowledge contained in the Bible will help minimize those mistakes and help us not to continue them. In my opinion, and I’m very biased to the core when it comes to God’s Word, but I believe that everyone should know the truths exposed in this book and live by them.
